Build Quality and Design After 1 Year

The Infinix Smart 8 Pro weighs 189g. It feels light and comfortable to hold. The back is made of plastic, but it has been strong in my daily use.

I accidentally dropped the phone a few times. It got only a few small scratches, and there was no major damage.

I have the Rainbow Blue color. Even after 1 year and 8 months, it still looks good. The side-mounted fingerprint sensor is fast and unlocks the phone quickly most of the time.

The USB Type-C port is also a nice feature at this price.

Display Test

Screen size is 6.6 inches. Resolution is HD+ 720 x 1612. It is not Full HD.

But the 90Hz refresh rate makes it special. Scrolling on Facebook and TikTok is very smooth.

Brightness is 500 nits. Indoor it is perfect. Outdoor in sun, it is okay. You can see but not perfect.

For movies and YouTube this display is best in 30k budget.

Camera Test – 50MP Camera Review

Many people search for the Infinix Smart 8 Pro camera review, so here is my real experience after using the phone.

Daylight Photos: The 50MP main camera takes good photos in daylight. Colors look natural, details are clear, and HDR works well.

Night Photos: The camera performs average at night. Photos may have some noise and blur. The Ring LED flash helps when taking selfies in low light.

Front Camera (8MP): The 8MP front camera takes good selfies. It is good for social media apps like Instagram and Facebook. Portrait mode also works well most of the time.

Video Recording: The phone records videos at up to 1080p 30fps. It does not have image stabilization, so videos may look shaky while walking.

Final Opinion: In my experience, the camera is good for daily photos and videos. However, if you want professional photography, this is not the best phone for that.

Battery Test – How Long Does It Last?

The 5000mAh battery with Android Go gives good battery life.

I mostly used the phone indoors. With my normal daily use, the battery easily lasted 1 full day.

I usually charged the phone at 8:00 AM, and by 11:00 PM, I still had around 25–30% battery left with normal use.

Even after 1 year of use, the battery performance stayed good. It still lasted 1 day with normal use. With light use, it could last up to 1.5 days.

If you are searching “How long does the Infinix Smart 8 Pro battery last?”, the simple answer is: About 1 day with normal use and up to 1.5 days with light use.

Charging Speed Test

The biggest drawback of this phone is its 10W charging.

It takes about 2 hours and 45 minutes to charge from 0% to 100%, which is quite slow by today’s standards.

Performance, RAM and Hanging Problem?

Chipset: MediaTek Helio G36. RAM: 4GB. Storage: 128GB.

Daily Use: WhatsApp, YouTube, Chrome, TikTok. All smooth. No lag at all.

Hanging Problem: Does it hang? Answer: No. In 1 year 8 months, it hanged only 2-3 times. Android Go keeps phone light.

Gaming Test: PUBG Mobile runs on Smooth + 40FPS. 20 min after phone gets warm. Free Fire runs best. COD Mobile lags on medium.

Tip: Use “Phone Master” to clear junk every week. Then no hanging.

RAM and Storage – 4GB 128GB Enough?

Yes, 128GB is huge. You get 110GB free. I have 5000 photos, 300 videos, 60 apps. Still 35GB free.

4GB RAM is okay for 2026. If you open 10 apps, old apps reload. But for normal use it is fine.

Best part: Dedicated microSD card slot. You can add 1TB card.
